Chelsea Clinton Visits Kansas City School and Children's Mercy

The new mom is the author of a book that aims to inspire middle school age kids

Chelsea Clinton made a few stops while in the Kansas City metro Tuesday.

At Lincoln College Preparatory Academy in Kansas City, Clinton spoke about kids who have inspired her. Some of the stories are in her book, It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired, and Get Going, aimed at young readers ages 10-14. The book breaks down some of the world's biggest challenges and shares inspiring stories of young people who are already making an impact in their own communities and around the globe.

“When I talk to kids that age, I'm always struck by how curious they are about the world around them,” Clinton said. “How much they know about things that you're talking about. I think they're so much more attentive than adults give them credit for.”

After the school visit, Clinton toured Children’s Mercy Hospital, and then had a book signing.
