“I look forward to the experience every time I come in here and there’s always a little surprise along the way, but I like to see the expression on the real little one’s face when I give them a treat. It makes it all very worthwhile.”

Fox 4: Folgers gives $10,000 to Children's Mercy, plus gives volunteer a year's worth of coffee

Doctors and nurses and volunteers at Children’s Mercy Hospital received breakfast and coffee Thursday morning on National Coffee Day, from Folgers®.

In addition to that treat, Folgers® presented a local volunteer, Bob Hill, with $10,000 to be used toward Children’s Mercy Hospital and a year’s supply of free Folgers Perfect Measures coffee.

Hill volunteers at Children’s Mercy Hospital’s information desk.

“I’m flabbergasted because there’s so many deserving people here. I’m one of many,” said Hill. “I look forward to the experience every time I come in here and there’s always a little surprise along the way, but I like to see the expression on the real little one’s face when I give them a treat. It makes it all very worthwhile.”
