Courier Tribune: Children's Mercy Opens Express Care, Orthopedic Injury Clinic in Northland

Children’s Mercy just opened a new Express Care and Orthopedic Injury Clinic near Interstate 35 and Highway 291, 9713 N. Ash Avenue. The location is in the same strip mall area as the Price Chopper and future Betty Rae’s Ice Cream.
The new location opened Monday, March 16.
Prior to the opening, the Courier-Tribune took a tour of the facility with Allison Malicoat, nursing director for Northland Urgent Care and Express Care, and Coley Vitztum, service line director, orthopedics.
The facility’s Express Care side is designed for families who need treatment for minor illnesses at times when other care options are not always available. The Orthopedic Injury Clinic will be staffed by orthopedic specialists who can treat broken bones, strains, sprains and other orthopedic injuries. The location will offer walk-in and online scheduling options with evening and weekend hours.
