Fox 4: KC emergency vehicles turn out for Night Lights at Children's Mercy

On Wednesday night, Santa ditched the reindeer and sleigh for KC patrol cars and fire trucks.

From police to sheriff’s departments and EMTs, more than 100 different crews from far and wide came to bring an early Christmas gift to those looking from their hospital rooms at Children’s Mercy.

“They’re missing out on a lot of things at school a lot of things with friends and family and to have these communities come together to show support to them really makes them feel special,” said the manager of patient and family programs at Children’s Mercy, Trista Cobbins.
