Greater KC Chamber honors Marshaun Butler with ATHENA award

Marshaun Butler, vice president for Children's Mercy South Hospital and Regional Medical Practices, will receive the ATHENA award for young professional leadership from the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Butler is an active volunteer with non-profit groups, including Mattie Rhodes, Swope Ridge Geriatric Center, and Johnson County Community College Foundation. She is named in Who's Who in Black Kansas City and was a member of the chamber's Centurions Leadership Program.

Butler and Betsey Solberg, this year's recipient of the ATHENA International award for leadership and community service, will be honored at a reception Oct. 15 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
