Henson's Heroes' Stuff the Bus event brings presents by the dozens

Annual event filled a school bus with toys and gifts for patients at Children's Mercy

There's no lack of good will this time of year. That was certainly the case in The Northland Saturday as a bus was packed full of toys and games earmarked for sick girls and boys at Children's Mercy Hospital.

It's called "Stuff the Bus," and that's just what they did at a Target store off Missouri Highway 152.

"It makes me feel like I could just dance up and down," Raegan Weber said.

Weber and her friend, Caleb Wolf, both spent time recovering from serious ailments at Children's Mercy, the place where all these toys and games are heading.

"The biggest reason I got through was that I got love from a lot of people," Wolf stated.

Love and a lot of gifts from family and friends. But, Weber and Wolf know not every child is so lucky. The bills pile up quickly in the hospital, often preventing families from buying presents for their children. Weber and Wolf want to help.

"I know it's important in that trying time to be loved," Wolf said.
