Kansas City Business Journal: Children's Mercy hires new director from Stanford to oversee transplants

Children’s Mercy Kansas City tapped a transplant surgeon from Stanford’s pediatric hospital to lead its transplant center and research program.

Dr. Clark Andrew Bonham was named the director of transplant surgery at Children’s Mercy. He also will be the director of the transplant research program at the Brendan Tripp Elam Transplant Center, part of the pediatric hospital.

Bonham spent 22 years working at Stanford Hospital and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital affiliated with Stanford Medicine. During his time there, he oversaw transplant teams and directed complex organ, liver and intestinal donor transplant programs, according to a release from Children’s Mercy.
