KCTV 5: Royals, Children's Mercy host 'reverse signing' event for pediatric patients

The Kansas City Royals and Children’s Mercy hosted a Topps reverse signing event Monday at Kauffman Stadium, giving pediatric patients the chance to have their own baseball cards signed by Royals players.

The event began at 1:45 p.m. Children’s Mercy patients presented custom Topps baseball cards, designed with their faces and stats, to Royals players, who signed them.

Salvador Perez signed a card for Children’s Mercy patient Keira Gallup.

“Can I give you a hug?” Perez said.
