KMBC 9: Push underway to get kids 12 and older vaccinated before school starts

As the start of a new school year approaches, many wonder the best way to handle those who are ineligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.  

Children's Mercy Hospital is one of the places conducting clinical testing on children 11 and under. Their doses would not be the same as adults. 

"We're trying to pick the dose that still gives them the adequate protection, but that they can tolerate better," Dr. Barbara Pahud of Children's Mercy said.
