KOMO News: COVID-19 public health emergency ends May 11
By Lee Stoll

In that time, health leaders have developed tests, vaccines and treatments to combat COVID-19.
"We're moving out of the emergency phase into the 'let's learn to live with this' phase," said Dr. Jennifer Schuster, pediatric infectious diseases specialist at Children’s Mercy Kansas City, Mo.
But ending the emergency could impact vaccine supply and access. According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, there are still more than 100,000 new cases of COVID-19 recorded every week.
