On Thursday, Children’s Mercy celebrated a major milestone in the construction of its new clinic with a ceremonial beam-raising event in northeast Wichita.

Guests gathered near 29th and Greenwich to sign the final structural beam before it was lifted into place, leaving their mark on the new clinic.

When it is finished, it will serve more than 10,000 pediatric patients from across the region.
