Royals to collect colorful bandages in Noah Wilson's memory

The Kansas City Royals will honor the memory of a young superfan when they return home to Kauffman Stadium Thursday.

Noah Wilson, 7, who befriended Royals players and won the hearts of people all over the nation during last October's world Series run, died Tuesday night.

During his cancer fight, Noah began a drive to collect fun and colorful bandages for fellow patients at Children's mercy Hospital. He said bandages with bright colors and cartoon characters might help brighten the spirits of other children at the hospital. Noah's drive helped collect thousands of boxes of bandages and $7,000.

Royals Charities will collect boxes of colorful bandages at Kauffman Stadium throughout the weekend to keep Noah's campaign going.
