Visitor restrictions to end Thursday, April 12, 2018

Visitor restrictions for children 12 and under that have been in place since Dec. 26 because of a high incidence of respiratory viruses, have been lifted as of Thursday, April 12.

This means all visitors 12 years old or younger will again be permitted to visit inpatient units at Children's Mercy and Children's Mercy Hospital Kansas.

Respiratory viruses are easily spread to others. For this reason, Children’s Mercy takes preventive measures each year to stop the spread of illness and provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff members.
